【SCHEDULE】

1. Arrival at Gofukuza
Gofukuza, one of the best theaters in Japan dedicated to popular theater, has an entrance and lobby with a great atmosphere that evokes the Edo period in Japan.

2. Appreciate the public performance
The performers dance on stage in gorgeous costumes and hairstyles that are a replica of the old Japanese costumes. In particular, the Onnagata, a dance show in which men dance in women's makeup and costumes, is the most popular performance because of its beauty.

After the show, you can take pictures with the performers in the theater lobby!

Our recommendation is the 2nd part Grand maiko show. 
This is a non-verbal show.
If you are entering from the 2nd part Grand maiko show, please refer to the following times.

Daytime : around 14:00
Night-time: around 19:30

Entrance during the performance possible.
It is a 3-hours long performance, entrance during the performance possible.

Eating and drinking are allowed in the theater (including alcohol). Also, it is possible to enter and exit the theater during the performance.

  [From the ground] Please enter through the main entrance (west side of Plaza Umeda Bldg.) and take the elevator.
  [From underground] Go out from the M-14 exit of the Umeda station underground mall and go up the stairs on the right and take the elevator.
• Language support：Japanese (Dance show performances will be held non-verbally.)
  
• Excluded：food and drink
• Special support：English-language pamphlets, gifts of traditional Japanese sweets for SNS postings, and special seating (near the front of the hanamichi) are being offered to overseas visitors.
  
• Free Wi-Fi：Partially usable. (Only near the lobby entrance)

  ・There are two ground-level entrances to Plaza Umeda Building, so please enter from the main entrance (west side of Plaza Umeda Building).
