Dive into Japanese culture by wearing a "furisode" (a formal long-sleeved kimono worn by young women). Wearing a furisode will make you feel more glamorous than a typical kimono. If you want to try on an authentic kimono and walk around Asakusa to take some amazing, Insta-worthy photos, then this plan is for you!

Choose your favorite kimono from a variety of options. Our English, Chinese, and Korean speaking staff are happy to assist you. Feel free to ask for their help. 

You can choose either a casual obi belt (Han-obi) or a high-grade fukuro-obi. After getting dressed, you can walk around Asakusa freely. We have various kinds of accessories such as bags and sandals available.  Our staff with arrange your hair with some gorgeous accessories so that you are the total package! You can also leave your luggage and travel light in Asakusa.

For an additional charge, you can try on a high-quality "uchikake" (Japanese overgarment) worn by the actress from the popular period TV drama named "Ooku". You cannot have this experience elsewhere. Create a life-long memory! (Uchikake is a garment worn over kimono by noble women since around 1400.)

【Details】

1. Reception

Our shop is conveniently located within 1 minute from Tawaramachi Station and 5 minutes on foot from the Thunder Gate of Sensoji Temple. Leave your luggage and travel light around Asakusa.

2. Choose a furisode

Furisode is a long-sleeved kimono that will show off your figure gorgeously. Choose a furisode suits you best. Don't worry if you have never worn kimono before. Our English, Chinese, and Korean speaking staff will help you select from among many options. 

3. Dressing・Hair arrangement 

It's time to wear furisode! Dressed by our experienced staff, you will not feel uneasy in kimono. Your kimono will not lose shape. Your hair will be arranged with hair ornaments (free of charge) to suit you and furisode. There are various kinds of accessories such as bags and sandals available, as well. 

4. Walking around Asakusa 

Kimono, especially furisode, will make you feel special! Take a lot of pictures in Asakusa for your memories and your social media! You will have plenty of time for sightseeing as you can use the kimono until 17:00. 

5. Return the kimono

 Please come back to the shop and return the kimono by 17:00. We hope you enjoy your day wearing furisode!

• Other things to note
  A group needs to make a reservation at least one week in advance of the intended tour date.
  The last reception time is 16:00. Please return the kimono by 17:00.
  You can go out wearing a furisode.
  If the kimono is stained or damaged, you must pay from 20,000 to 150,000 yen.
  For a child who is 125 cm tall and over, a yukata (casual kimono) is prepared.
  Maximum 3 people are dressed at one time. People in a group are dressed in order.
  You can leave your belongings (except valuables) at the shop. After the walk, you will change at the shop and return the furisode.
  An ID card is necessary.
  Uchikake is worn only in the shop. The stock of Uchikake varies when they are out for TV filming. If you like to rent an Uchikake, please contact the shop beforehand.

7 to 4 days before the tour date 40% of the tour price
3 to 2 days before the tour date 60% of the tour price
The day before the tour date, on the day of the tour 100% of the tour price
※Right after the online settlement is made, a cancellation fee of 10% will be incurred in case of cancellation.
※The cancellation fee includes handling charges.
