You can experience the rich rural landscape, paddy field agriculture that coexists with a wide variety of organisms, skillful water management systems, and the food culture nurtured in this region.
In this experience, you can casually experience the food culture that is part of the Osaki Kodo lifestyle.

【SCHEDULE】

[10:00] After gathering, wash hands, disinfect hands, and prepare for cooking.
[10:05] Let's make suppoko. A local mother will show you how to make your own.
[11:20] Tasting the freshly made suppoko. 

[11:50] After cleaning up, we will break up to go home.  


【DETAILS】

Miyagi Prefecture is the gateway to the Tohoku Region in northern Japan. The prefecture contributed to spreading popular gourmet meals to the metropolitan area. In this cooking workshop held in Miyagi, you can make and eat 'Suppoko,' a healthy local dish.

'Suppoko,' one of the homemade meals in the Tohoku Region, is noodles cooked with seasonal vegetables and fried tofu in a soup. In Miyagi, a local specialty 'umen' noodles are used for Suppoko. Umen noodles are not fried in oil in the manufacturing process. You can take much fiber and protein derived from vegetables and soybeans. Warm-up your frozen body in winter with the local specialty, Suppoko.

In this cooking workshop, you will learn a recipe made by Fukuhara-san, who is popular with people as a local Mom. You will feel as if you were a member of the family while enjoying communication with the locals in Miyagi. The time is sure to last in your memory for a long. Learn the recipe at the workshop, and make the dishes when you are back home. Your family and friends will be happy to eat rare dishes from Japan. The comfort dishes from Miyagi you cook will make your mind and body warm. Have an enjoyable time with your sweetheart, friends, and family.
