Take a leisurely hike to see the three waterfalls. Along the way, you can relax in the forest, play a game of Nodate, or just lie down!
After the hike, take a soothing dip in Kosaka's unique carbonated spring.


  • Explore three waterfalls while enjoying a leisurely hike in the forest. 
  • During the hike, have a cup of tea or lay down and relax. 
  • Listen to an old story about Ontake Mountain from the guide, and you may even discover some of the things mentioned in the old stories. 
  • After the hike, unwind by bathing in a carbonated spring!


[09:40] Registration at Hida Kosaka Visitor Center before moving to Gandate Park with the guide.
[10:00] Gandate Park: Meet your guide at Gandate Park. After listening to some instructions, we will depart.
[10:30] Mitsu Waterfall Trail: Enjoy a panoramic view of Mitsu Waterfall from Mitsu Waterfall Trail.
[11:30] Matcha green tea will be served while in the forest.
[12:30] Lunch will be served while in the forest.
[13:30] Karatani Waterfall and Akagane Toyo Waterfall: Arrive at Karatani Waterfall and Akagane Toyo Waterfall!
[13:50] Gandate Park: Return to Gandate Park.
[15:00] Head to Himeshaga no Yu.
[15:15] Enjoy a bath at Himeshaga no Yu.
[16:30] End of tour


The course starts in Gandate Park and takes guests to see three waterfalls. This is an easy hike that is also suitable for beginners.
On the way, relax in the forest while playing Nodate or lying down on a sheet. Listen to old stories about the area from the guide and maybe even discover landmarks related to the tales.
A lunch made of local ingredients will also be served in the forest.
After the hike, enjoy a refreshing bath in the Kosaka carbonated spring.
