【SCHEDULE】

[07:00] Guests will meet at Shimada Suisan Pier before boarding an oyster fishing boat to watch fishermen bring in their catch. The 18th generation head of the company will give an explanation of oyster farming and the secret history behind the oyster brand "Aki no Ippan" which is bred at the production site. Next, guests can enjoy a private tour through the Hiroshima oyster rafts in the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea.

[08:00] After returning to Shimada Suisan Pier, enjoy an oyster porridge and grilled oysters at an oyster house that's been in business for 15 years. The oyster hut, which started as a joke, is now a seasonal restaurant crowded with local customers. The soup stock for the porridge is a secret recipe from 300 years ago when the restaurant first opened in Osaka. The tour ends after dinner.

    From JR Miyajima-guchi Station or Hiroden Miyajima-guchi Streetcar Station, walk straight down the main street (Route 2) then turn right (toward Yamaguchi) and walk for about 10 minutes. Eventually, there will be a blue sign for Shimada Suisan on your left.
    It takes 5 minutes to get there by taxi (though the time depends on traffic conditions).
