【STORY】

Mugen-an, designated as a tangible cultural property of Ishikawa Prefecture, boasts the highest-level architecture of the Kaga Domain as a samurai Shoin.

Built in the first year of the Taisho era (1912), Mugen-an was constructed in Kanazawa by the Yokoyama family, a senior retainer of the Kaga Domain, to celebrate their son's wedding. Due to the grandeur of its architecture, it has been used for ceremonies and weddings. Mugen-an also serves as a storage and exhibition space for numerous art pieces and traditional items, including antique Kutani Tomari Funatsu large bowls and tea ceremony utensils related to Sen no Rikyu.

Transplanted to its current location in the mountains a century ago, Mugen-an has provided many people with a special space, allowing them to enjoy traditional Japanese Tea kaiseki cuisine along with the ambiance.
