As a protected river, it hosts a variety of creatures such as fish, birds, deer, and other wildlife. Depending on the season, you can witness various facets of the Shiodomari River; in autumn, you might see fall foliage and salmon swimming upstream.

◆ Spring: Enjoy cherry blossoms while drifting down the river. The water flow is slightly higher than usual in spring.

◆ Summer: Swim, splash around and enjoy the water to bring yourself closer to nature. Sunset tours around July to September are recommended.

◆ Autumn: Descend the river amidst autumn foliage and observe salmon swimming upstream through underwater viewing glasses.

◆ Winter: Witness many migratory birds, including white-tailed eagles and swans. Photography enthusiasts enjoy canoeing tours against the snowy backdrop.
