Special experience of “Tea Ceremony” at MUGEN-AN, a cultural asset designated by Ishikawa Prefecture

【STORY】

"Mugen-an," an Ishikawa Prefecture-designated tangible cultural property, boasts the finest samurai architecture of the Kaga Domain.
It was built in Kanazawa in the first year of the Taisho era (1912) by the Yokoyama family, a retainer of the Kaga clan, for the wedding of their son. Because of the grandeur of its architecture, it has been used as a venue for ceremonies and weddings. It also houses and exhibits several art and traditional artifacts, including an old Kutani Tomari Funatsu bowl and tea ceremony utensils related to Sen no Rikyu.
 Relocated to the mountains, Mugen-an has been offering a special atmosphere to many for over 100 years. Enjoy this space alongside a traditional Japanese tea kaiseki meal.
