【DETAILS】

Miyajima is known for Itsukushima Shrine and its large shrine gate. But did you know that the entire island has been an object of worship since ancient times as an island where Gods reside?

In this plan, you will come into contact with the culture and history of Miyajima and why it is known as the Island of God.

● Highlights: Enjoy the Island of God, Sake for God, and the Cup of God

The ship is anchored at a scenic spot recommended by the captain. On the boat, you can try "Miyuki," the same sacred sake dedicated to the World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine. You will also use an Osuna-yaki sake cup to drink out of. Osuna-yaki is the local pottery made from the sacred sand of Miyajima, which has long been used as a good luck charm for safe travels. Please enjoy a relaxing time while looking out towards the sacred island.

Miyajima is one of the Setouchi Islands in the Seto Inland Sea.

Setouchi Islands ranked 7th in New York Times' “52 Places to Go in 2019."

One feature of this plan is that you will be able to enjoy the unspoiled nature and scenic oceans of Japan.

Take a leisurely tour in the Seto Inland Sea while learning about and pondering Miyajima's long history and sacredness instead of being surrounded by tourists on the island.
