【DETAILS】

Experience making a "daruma", a traditional Japanese lucky charm doll in Mihara, the Daruma Town. Mihara has been developing a unique daruma culture, such as a daruma mascot and even a daruma specific to the city, called Mihara daruma. A typical daruma is a hollow-faced and round doll on which eyes are painted when the owner's wish comes true, but the Mihara daruma has a long and narrow head, already has its eyes, and has a bell or a pebble inside the body to bring good luck for the future.


In this craft workshop, you can make the daruma's face all by yourself. Feel free to create a face with your own expressions, inspirations, and wishes for the future.


The local artisans will kindly give you some technical help to guide you.
