【Details】

Built over a course of 10 years, Hiroshima Castle is a historical monument that was established in 1589 by a feudal lord during Japan's Sengoku (Warring States) period. Although the original castle keep and several other structures were completely destroyed during the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in World War II, you can still feel the sense of time and history from the stone walls and waterways surrounding the castle.

The castle keep was rebuilt at the request of local residents and was renovated using traditional methods to reproduce the original structure. In this plan, you can relax and sign up for a guided cruise around Hiroshima Castle on a wooden ship called a "wasen". With guided sightseeing, this plan will take you as far as the beautiful castle keep where you will discover essential areas that are difficult to view from land. Learn the secrets associated with the history and heritage of Japan hidden in the stone walls. You are invited to find charm and enchantment in these details while listening to the explanation by a guide.

You may find that the surrounding scenery changes with the season. In spring, you may travel as the nation turns a beautiful shade of pink with cherry blossoms in full bloom, and humble displays of lush autumn leaves in fall. The castle keep, home to around 50-60 carps, is named 'Carp Castle' for its many carps that swim in the moat. Characterised by the extraordinary variety of Japanese carps and unspoiled nature, you will have the opportunity to feel the richness of the four seasons in Japan.

Inside the castle, there will be numerous opportunities to wear traditional armors like "yoroi" (armor) and "kabuto" (helmet). Immerse yourself in ancient Japanese culture and experience what life was like during the Sengoku period of Japan.
