*OUTLINE　

Satsuma Shuzo is an authentic Shochu maker known for its flagship product, Satsuma Shiranami.  Satsuma Shuzo's Shochu factory and museum, Meijigura, offers a distillery visit tour.  You can directly see how Shochu is produced and taste a variety of Meijigura's original Shochu made with different types of sweet potatoes.   At the neighboring Kedogawa Beer House, you can enjoy three kinds of local brews made from sweet potato.

■ From Kagoshima-chuo Station: Take JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Line and get off at Makurazaki Station. It takes approx. 5 minutes from the station by car.

■ From Kagoshima Airport: Approx. 120 minutes by car 

■ From within Ibusuki city : Approx. 60 minutes by car 

■ Approx. 30 minutes by car from Chiran-cho
