【Schedule】

[12:00] At the reception desk, check your temperature and disinfect your hands. There will be introductions and ice breakers and you'll get a grasp on the flow of the experience.

[12:15] Let's make "thunder rice crackers"! First, the instructor will make a sample of these traditional rice-based snacks to help you visualize yourself making it while watching the instructor. Then it's time to make your own original thunder rice crackers.
 (Ingredients: rice, wheat flour, glucose, peanuts/almonds, sugar, salt, butter/margarine)

 [12:50] Learn about Japanese food culture while eating the freshly-made thunder rice crackers. Learn how essential "rice" is as an ingredient in Japanese food.

 [13:15] At the end of the experience, discover stores in Asakusa where you can go to enjoy delicious ways rice is used. Be sure to stop by to make your visit to Asakusa more memorable! Finally, receive a recipe and a kit so you can make and enjoy your own "thunder rice crackers" at home.

Thunder rice cracker is a traditional confectionery loved by locals in Asakusa for over 200 years. Get a deeper understanding of the Japanese culture through the experience of making traditional sweets unique to Asakusa.
