【DETAILS】
Omishima Island in Ehime Prefecture, located in the heart of the Shimanami Kaido, is blessed with a warm climate and is known as one of Japan's leading citrus producing areas.
This tour will take you to Omishima, considered as a sacred place for cyclists and popular with people from all over the world. Take off-road trails that are only accessible to the local guide and meet local farmers.
The starting point of the tour is WAKKA, which is marked by a fresh white building
First, you'll head for the citrus fields and start cycling along the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea! The orange color of the citrus fruits against the blue sea, and the blue sky and the green of the lush forests are beautiful sights. Only those who visit during peak season for citrus (Dec-Feb) can enjoy the view. Take your e-mountain bike/E-bike for a fun and comfortable ride through the mountains along the citrus groves!
Once arriving at the citrus field, experience citrus picking with a guidance from a local farmer. Various types of citrus fruits are cultivated depending on the season. Enjoy citrus hunting until your bag is full while learning how to distinguish delicious citrus fruits.
After the citrus fruit picking, try a juice making at the home of a friendly local farmer, Mr Takano. Make your own juice using freshly picked citrus fruits. Take home your juice as a delicious.
The tour terminates upon arrival at WAKKA by bike.
