An original course, which starts with the World Heritage site of the Atomic Bomb Dome, where you will go to spots that light up at night and through area's that only locals know about. After cycling visit popular local restaurants and bars which are not found in the guidebooks. This includes a popular tavern that uses beer crates as chairs, a liquor shop that offers a wide variety of Japanese sake, and more. Through interacting with Hiroshima locals who are friendly and outgoing, you can experience the Hiroshima of today.

With six beautiful rivers flowing through it, Hiroshima city is called 'The City of Water'; even the city center is set in a rich natural land next to the sea and mountains. This is a special cycling course where you can fully enjoy the Hiroshima of the evening starting with the World Heritage site of the Atomic Bomb Dome which symbolizes the city of peace and where you can see the spots that light up. It's OK if you want to take a detour to go to a place that caught your attention on the way! The best part is that you can enjoy interacting with local people on this cycling trip along with English-speaking staff.
After cycling, visit Hiroshima's selected fascinating and local restaurants and bars in the Yokogawa Shopping arcade which you cannot find in guidebooks. The shops include a popular tavern that uses beer crates as chairs, a liquor shop that offers a wide variety of Japanese sake, and more. Through interacting with Hiroshima locals who are outgoing, friendly and enjoy a good time, guests can experience Hiroshima as both a historical city of peace as well as a charming modern city.

①Meander through Hiroshima City on a rent-a-cycle
Cycle through the streets near rivers in the city center,which is a beautiful location at evening, and places that light up, which you can't see when sightseeing during the day time. Experience Hiroshima in the evening from the sightseeing spots such as the Atomic Bomb dome and Hiroshima castle from the local streets that only locals know about.

  1.  A 4-minute walk from the south exit of JR Hiroshima station
  2．From the south exit, go to the south exit underground square and take exit 8 to go to the ground. Go in the direction of Enkougawa.
  3．Cross the Ekimae-ohashi bridge and turn right at the first traffic light. Enter Jonan-dori street.
  4．The store is in front of APA Hotel Hiroshima-Ekimae. (Peacecle Tourist Information Office)

【Trivia】

Hiroshima is the first city in human history that experienced an atomic bomb. An argument was that no one wants to remember such a tragic experience and that the  the visible damage of the Atomic Dome should be destroyed, but it has been preserved as a symbol of peace to the present with the desire to appeal peace with nuclear abolition as the city that experienced the atomic bomb. In 1996 the Atomic Bomb Dome was registered as a World Heritage Site.

【Nearby area introduction】

The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6 1945, and the city suffered a lot of damage which remains in the history of war. But just three days later, despite the bomb hitting nearby trains and railroads, the city train started moving again in cooperation with the people of Hiroshima. The streetcar is still the same as then, and is still running in the city. The trains that people in the town have reconstructed with all of their strength are still watching over the people in the town with a warm gaze.
